Route Climbed: several... Date Climbed: a lot, between 1979 and 1999The whole area is so filled with unknown summits and untrodden valleys...If one wants to stay quiet for a while, he's just to get there (avoiding august perhaps...).
Chambeyron (Brec & Aiguille) have some good climbs. Others are sometimes long, boresome expeditions following lonely stone covered glens where only mountain goats would go. But these are magic ! You sometimes feel to be on the moon...Almost no glaciers, but spring skiing is always a joy free ride. Great variety of rocks colours, which pays you in return for the very poor quality of these....beware of gullies, stay on the ridges !

Route Climbed: Le Chapeau de Gendarme (Circuit du Vivier) Date Climbed: 1st July 2002After studying the Super Sauze landslide for two weeks i could not resist wandering up this mountain. So up i went on a very hot day but the effort was worth it with extensive views to the Pelvoux Massif to the south and the Aig. Chamberyon to the North. This area is so quite compared to the other areas of the alps it really is a pleasure to walk here. There is much to be discovered!
