It is amazing what people do (or better not do) in a situation like that... I am not sure if I would jump into a crevasse.
Well, but I think that I would be trying to self-arrest on a client part... I did that when sliding on glacier/snowfield automatically in the past.... perhaps climbers should practice this technique?

Yes. I never imagined this could happen to members of the Austrian Rescue Team. They looked so strong and confident. It happened suddenly, but I always thought about jumping inside that crevasse if something like this happens to me sometime. I guess I was ready.

I think they knew already self arrest technique, but in that moment they forgot everything. It was the altitude or maybe that shocking moment.

It was scary. I'm extra cautious since then.
