A lot less crowded than Avalanche Gulch. A more challenging summit day as well from Hidden Valley at 9000 ft. An early start assures good solid snow on the way up the face. We roped up going up the face. I'm not if most parties do, but I sure felt better doing so. The best thing about the route is the LONG glissade down to base camp. You practically glide right into camp.
