Re: Very impressive

Ciao Silvia. Thanks, I am okay, and trying to improve my fitness. Very much enjoyed my many visits to the Apennines, where I worked as an Engineer, and also did a lot of cycling. Your Profile photo is good too. High up above the trees and looking so confident.

Re: Very impressive

Hi RayMondo, i'm very happy in hearing you had visited the Apennines and you had enjoyed these places! But can i ask you which county you visited...Apennines are a very long chain running from West to est in Emilia-Romagna and then from North to South for several miles!
Cheers.

Apennines

Ciao Silvia. The Region I made many visits to is L'Aquila, Gran Sasso de Italia. The most spectacular mountains. I really like Campo Imperatore (The Emporor's Camp) and Corno Grande, and also Monte Velino, which I climbed 14 times, 8 or more in winter snow. Unforgettable. Belissima ! Yes, Campo Imperatore is a must see for any climber.
Ciao, Ray

Re: Apennines

Hi Raymondo,
yes you're right, Gran Sasso is the most amazing and mighty Apennines'group (i climbed here only twice, sure the limestone is a must!!!!), while my mountains, Apennines Parmense, situated nearby my home, are lower and have not many steep faces. But these places are beautiful in wintertime.
Cheers.
