Pleasant article; in same part it recalls me some sport article related to the "bob": Austria I, Austria II, Slovenia I, :-).
In october 2005 I was there on the Sentiero Attrezzato Leva (from Cima di Terrarossa to Forca del Disteis). My cousin and me were completely alone and really happy, only ibexes (mothers and kids) were on the route (some pics posted on SP). That day was the unique sunny window within a rainy period: we were lucky. The place is impressive at 360°!

I checked - but the polarizer is only to blame for one picture. I must have missed that one :o) The others are vignetted because of the lense. At full zoom extension (200mm) it tends to cut off corners.
Fantastic beautiful pictures!
I love them because Kanin group is my first and all-time favourite mountain area. :)
And a great reading of your trip.
I am about to leave for Kanin, we plan to make the Alta Via Resiana ridge traverse in one day.
Cheers, Norbert.
Have fun on the Alta Via, Norbert! Next day after Terrarossa we were on Monte Sart - an even better day. You'll like the pictures even more me thinks :-)
Had a good laugh reading about this 'tranquility' :) Another fun report from you after those 'scree kangaroos'... Now have to take a closer look at those nice pics.
cheers,
kamil

Re: An amusing cronichleThe bob reference was intended. Actually the idea occurred to me while I was halfway through writing the tr. Thanks a lot!
