Overview

The Twin Sisters trailhead is, not surprisingly, the starting point for the hike up Twin Sisters Peaks. Note that this trailhead is relatively new. For many years it was located several miles farther south along Highway 7, but was moved to its new location to coincide with the opening of the Lily Lake Visitor Center, and to avoid private property issues.

Driving Directions

From the junction of Highways 36 and 7 on the east side of Estes Park drive south on Highway 7 for 6 miles to the trailhead turnoff, which will be on your left (east) at the visitor center. Travel 0.4 miles up the dirt road (closed in winter).

From the junction of Highways 7 and 72, south of Allenspark (south of Longs Peak Wild Basin) drive north on Highway 7 for about 11 miles to the trailhead, which will be on your right.
