Better go there on the west face when snow disappear. Beautiful view for sure.
very dry, take enough water, avoid when too hot.

Crowded
The most crowded hike I've ever been on - I would never go near it on a weekend, in good weather during summer again. Chaos, with all the chains and long hold ups to get on the chains and ladder to the summit, people getting stuck near the top, having to help people carry their kids down the steepest part because they couldn't manage it themselves, people having attacks of vertigo. More fatiguing than a hike twice as long and twice as hard. Apart from that it's a great half day out.

Hiked up late in the afternoon with several friends to the summit. Amazing views in all directions, probably one of the best hikes I've ever done. Mont Blanc and Lac Annecy were especially nice.
