I admire your gusto at climbing Pikes Peak out of season and by the most difficult route. At my age, I prefer to do it in season and by car. At least the restaurant on top is open.
I read a trip report from last weekend from one of the same guys I climbed with, and he said the snow is melting fast in the Y. My guess is there won't be much left by early June as things are heating up in the area. There should be plenty of great snow climbs further north in CO though such as Rocky Mtn Natl Park or the Elk Range.

Great Trip ReportKevin,
Nice job on the summit and thanks for the detailed trip report.
Do you think there will enough snow around June 4th, I will be in Colorado and hope to attempt the Y Couloir that day.
Thanks,
Ben
