Route in red is the one I took (the one I call the East Ridge Bushwhack). the one in green I think is doable based on the map but I did not scout out the area personally to see hidden obstacles. I just wonder if the green route up from the Elk Lake Trail would be easier but I'll leave that for someone else to confirm. :- )

Great map

Excellent Brian. The route Bob and I tried went up the ridge just to the south of the one you went up and it seems that our paths did cross at one point, close to the 4400 contour line as we headed to the stream just north of your red line. Our GPS's read 5100 feet just below the knob.
