Despite the fact you basically followed our tracks (lol), I really enjoyed this TR. It was amazing to see in some of your photos how much the snow conditions changed in only 1-1/2 weeks after my group's trip there. It is easy to take that steep forested section for granted... until you are descending it. I found the quick change of terrain conditions to be the most interesting, although your comments regarding losing perception of uphill/downhill was an eye-opener.
Thanks! Your trip report really brought the mountain to the front of my list. That snow situation was the first time I had ever faced that situation. It was quiet hard to judge any of the slopes without the sun to note the shadows in the snow. Something for me to learn from.
