Did you climb any peaks in Tajikistan?

All the photos from the border area of Kyrghyzstan and G. Badakhshan are wonderful.

Re: Did you climb any peaks in Tajikistan?

Thanks!

I did, but almost only scrambling peaks as I was not cycling through the country with any gear, except for an axe and crampons.

The really nice ones were Pik Karla Marksa and Pik Engels, but they were both way out of my league from the north.

You could imagine...

...being on the Albula or the Julier pass - it looks so "Swiss", what with the statue of the ibex as a border marking...;-)

Re: You could imagine...

Thanks Eric.
Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are full of statues. Most of them are from past days. Below: yours truly and comrade Lenin in Bishkek.
