The new bivi box on the...

The new bivi box on the Watzmann East Face. It´s about 3 to 400 meters below the summit. With 4 double sleeping bags and an insulated floor it looks quite comfortable in an emergency.

Bivvy Box

Never saw one of those before... are they common in Europe? Germany?

sorry I´ve just seen your question :o( They are not that common, they sort of crop up. This is a new one. The East face has a record for catching people out, this is high up on the face and in a prime position.
