The entire route was firm...
The entire route was firm snow (perfect for
crampons and step kicking). A rope was not
needed but had it been icier... Broken Top is in the background towards the SE and S. Sister is just out of the frame to the right. This awesome shot was taken by Jon Rehkopf and was a
passed through a sepia filter.
