Thanks for the intel Hey, thanks for the great intelligence for the snow conditions of the La Sal range! I headed out there about a week after you submitted these photos, so they were a great aid in guessing how much snow to encounter.
I'm going to be adding a new La Sal Peak and maybe a route to your page. If you have a ridgerun route that includes multiple peaks, is it ok in SummitPost to list the route on every peak that it includes? I did a loop combining Tuk, Peal, and Mellinthin from the northwest, and I'm wondering if I should list the route on the Peal and Tuk page in addition to Mellinthen.
Also, I have a question about Sunrise Peak that maybe you can answer: I'm hoping to do a route up to it and Dromedary via the canyon that Lisa Falls is located (Little Cottonwood Canyon). Did the terrain seem like class 3 or 4 routes could be found, or did the south side look like technical rock climbing is needed?
Thanks,
Mark
P.S. I did Split Mountain in a day last fall. If you want any beta, just let me know.

Re: My PleasureI loved the La Sals...in fact, I'm heading back tomorrow to climb Mell, Manns, Tomasaki, La Sal, etc. As far as the ridge goes, I posted the Razor Fang from Peale to Tuk. I would put the ridge from Mell either on the Mell or Peale page, but not both.
I'll email you for some info on Split mtn and La Sal.

Love this ImageFrom where you shot this, something about the viewpoint and the colors makes me want to just start out walking right this minute. It must be time for lunch but somehow the color of these mountains with their lingering snow makes me think of ginger bread, drizzled with vanilla frosting.
