The Buins from south

Buin Pitschen (left) and Grond (right) with the south couloir to Buinlücke, seen from Val Tuoi (in the lower left corner Tuoi hut is discernable). Well visible in front of Grond's dark south face is also the sunlit shoulder called Cronsel, 2660 m, passed when ascending to the Plan Mezdi junction (2920 m). The saddle to the right leads to Vermunt glacier. Taken 26-08-2008 evening.
