Re: Pretty as a PicassoI paint well. Thanks for the comments
Actually I shot this one last year with my old camera. Very happy with how this one came out. This image was a guiding light for me to go back and climb it this year. The visibility that day was unreal.

Re: Pretty as a PicassoKane's palette reminds me of Cézanne and Derain. That old Nikon paintbrush worked pretty well too...

Re: Pretty as a PicassoI do that, too... hold on to old pictures in the hope that I'll be able to climb the subject sometime in the future. Nice shot, Kane. Pretty impressive that you captured the whole freakin' mountain in the picture! Like Aaron I. said, it has to be one of the biggest, most sprawling mountains in the state!

Kinda reminds me........ of this one that I took. The contrast and saturation and green shape. Well, you know, except your mountain is like 5 times higher than the one from mine. :- ) Very cool one!

Woah...Too bad we didn't have any conditions like this for this season. Some snow on the peaks would have been nice for contrast. You can see a few of my photos from Oct. 1-2 on the Mount Owen page but they are nowhere near as good as this.

WowKane, outstanding photo! What mountain were you on when you took this shot? I also love that pic of Pyramid you took from the Bells :)

Re: WowAsphazell- I was attempting West Beckwith Mountain with my friend Jim last week of Sept, of 2004. Didn't make that summit. That's a tough one for sure.
BTW-are you a 14erworld member?

Re: WowKane, yes, I used to be a 14erworld member, but haven't renewed my account (Mark M.). Between juggling this, 14ers.com, and 14erworld, didn't know if a third membership was really necessary! Keep up the great photography :)
