Nice page and way nice trip report "what the hell happened ...." (never too late to comment on a good one)
I've climbed all over San Jacinto and often looked up in wonder at you serious rock climbers as I've climbed up the trail looking out at Lily Rock or some of the other favorite spots.

While Tahquitz seems to certainly have some of the earliest technical climbing history on the West Coast, it should be noted that Ellingwood's climbing exploits (Colorado Rockies, Garden of the Gods, ...) precede those of Underhill & the RCS by about a decade or so.
