We started near the interstate and ended up with 9.1 miles hiked. It was a beautiful but cold November day. Regarding directions, take the dirt that runs between the interstate and the power lines (marked #70).

Biked to nearly the end of the road before stashing it and hiking up the steep east slope. Gorgeous views all around!
