climb with caution
Climbed with my son, his first climb in the valley. Love this route (third time leading)however, a large boulder has dislodged from pitch 1 and is now at the base. Makes a nice bench to belay from, but the boulder remaining appears to be chockstoned in with another large boulder about 15 feet below the tree that you make your first belay anchor. I climbed around it to the left as I didn't know how solid it was...made for a slightly more difficult climb.

Cool route
Climbed this one with birthday boy Waide, Rick, and Dave. The walk off was surprisingly easy considering all the comments I read about there being a sketchy sections along the way.

super hot day
beautiful views, the chimney was a bit stiff for short people should have gone out on the face instead but other than that it was a super fun but super hot route

Nice - the swimming hole!
This is the last climb on the last day on my first trad climbing trip in the Valley.
Was shown the "local swimming hole" atop. Very nice, indeed, though it wasn't anything near but more like a whirlpool at the time, for it was early in the season still.

First Valley climb
Katie led pitches 1 and 3 (5.5 finish), I was tempted by the obvious gully on pitch 2 which led to extra laps of wet class 4 scouting.
when jamcrack has huge lines we went to do this one. I got to lead a surprisingly fun 5.5 variation from ST. Nice clean hand jams and exposed traverse.

smoky
Climbed swan slab gully in the morning, relaxed by the river then did this in the evening. Nice and fun, led the 5.5 variation which was brilliant fun. Smoky down the valley due to forest fire.

first Yosemite multipitch
Followed Matthew on his first multipitch lead, and my first Yosemite multipitch climb. Walkie-talkies were handy since the falls drowned out voices.
