forest at 3400 metres?Hi I'm from middle Europe and trees don't grow here higher than 1700 metres. Do they really grow in two times altitude in US? Cheers Tomas :)

Re: forest at 3400 metres?Tomas,
Tree line in Colorado is anywhere between 9,000 to just over 11,500 feet, or 2750 to 3400 meters, depending on the weather, terrain and the direction the slope is facing.
That picture is of Papoose's summit, and the trees are still pretty decent size, they are taller than I am and I stand just under 2 meters tall.

Re: Pretty :)Thanks. Papoose, while a generally unassuming peak, is pretty.
