I detached the ice axe leash from myself and let it blow in the wind to see if it could stay up straight.

I thought it was fun, but my buddies didn't think so. I couldn't blame them either. We had spent the night before Bivying near the summit of Liberty Cap.

I thought it was a lot of fun. I was pretty confident about our descent down the east side of the mountain, and there was really not very much to worry about.
