Birthday Climb
Climbed this with my friend David on my 21st birthday. Needless to say I was very hungover. We did Dr. rubos and I led the even pitches and he led the odd pitches. Awesome summit and steller climbing. Finished the rappel in the dark, but had an awesome sunset view from the last pitch and on top of the spire!
Route Climbed: Dr. Rubo's Wild Ride Date Climbed: Dec. 29, 2005
Our 2nd Sedona tower (+Mace). Climbing is mostly pretty casual - i.e. good rock and good pro. This is a good notch easier than Regular Route on the Mace. It's a half day outing car-to-car. Fun summit and fun rappel. Our 7.5th year anniversary day climb ;) Helluva view of surrounding red rock cliffs. The trailhead and approach feel like a stroll thru. suburbia (which they are) but the climbing is first class (enough to forget that Sedona is real tourist sh*thole trap). TR of trip.

Dr Rubo's Oct/01A great spire & much "easier" and "cleaner" than most other Sedona spires.
