I really enjoyed reading about your Castle Peak ascent and the photos were awesome. It has been on my radar ever since I saw it from the top of Borah Peak many years ago. Hoback Peak is one of my favorites and it was great to see your photos of it. I also liked your story of Observation and your photos of the North Fork approach. How did you friends do on Baldy Peak? I was up there last May when it still had snow on the upper ridge.
Thanks for the kind words. Castle's fun as long as you're careful about the loose rock...the trail approach feels a lot shorter than it is since it's a great trail that's level a lot of times.
They got rained on but got the peak, apparently enjoyed it. I'll have to hopefully get to it at some point this summer.
