Where?

No doubt this is a very beautiful picture. And it is about the mountain world. But still, I would like you say more about it. Where is this St. Michael? On which mountain? Which path goes by. And also, in principle, you should attach your pictures to mountain pages (see above the Attach button on the orange bar). If not to a specific mountain, in Alps you can also attach it to mountain areas and ranges. Otherwise later nobody will look at your picture any more - unless it is a great hit.

Cheers!

Re: Where?

Grazie Vid!
You're right...now I know that I've to attach my pics to mountain pages...This is probably the reason you didn't see another pictures about St.Michael where I wrote the place where it is..
Anyway tks for your tip..I'll attach all them to the right pages..
Ciao
Gigi

Re: Where?

No, Gigi, don't delete anything. You already have valuable votes :)

On top of the page you are the author of, you will see the orange (or yellow) bar - just below the main blue menu bar (Areas & Ranges, Mountains & Rocks, etc...). On the yellow menu (editor options) just choose the button Attach/Detach. Then follow the instruction, it's simple. You can connect your page to several other objects - they can become 'parents' of your page or 'children'. But pictures can be only 'children' - so all other pages (mountains, areas, albums, etc.) are on a higher level.

If you need more instructions, please read the FAQ page (the link is on the bottom of every page). Of course I can also answer your questions, if I know the answer. SummitPost is huge and nobody knows all about it ;)

Ciao!

Re: Where?

I did it but no way to follow the instructions....when I clic on attach/detach
I see a small window with "SEARCH" : where I choose for example "mountains & rocks", then FOR: but for what? ;(
then I see the possibility to choose: IN My Submissions Only
and then SORT BY Quality Oldest Newest
finally at the end..they ask me Find Objects

So probably I can't attach it to nothing..??
I think that when I'll post a new pic I'll choose area & ranges or mountain &rocks just from the beginning!
Anyway tks agin for your help
bye
gigi
P.S: I had a quick view of your gallery..(I've to go back)..they're gorgeous!

Re: Where?

to go to st Michael..first reach Monte croce comelico pass..close to Sexten and Moos in Val Pusteria..not far from Dobbiaco and San Candido(Toblach & Innichen).
Leave your car just in front of the only hotel which is there and then follow the signs for Nemes hutte(the ownen of this nice and small refuge is a relative of Innerkoffler..you know? the "famous austrian guide8and kaiserjager)killed by an italian Alpino during the ww1 on the mount Paterno-close to 3 cime di lavaredo on the way to rifugi Locatelli, you can also reach the point where he died through a easy via ferrata-
To go to nemes it takes only 40 minutes ..it's a nice walking, especially in winter, with superlative view towards Croda rossa di sesto, 3 Scarperi, and all the mountain chain from where starts the Val Fiscalina).Forgot..there you can also eat in a amazing way!
Bye

Re: Where?

Gigi, you were on the right track. After clicking the Attach/Detach button, you can link to any object on SummitPost, not only to your submissions. So, leave 'In My Submissions' unclicked and enter ANY search word. For this church, I would enter for example 'Sexten'. You will get all objects with 'Sexten' in the caption, and you choose for example Sexten Dolomites - Areas/Ranges, the page of Gabriele Roth. So, it becomes a parent to your picture. Try once again ;)))
