The traverse from N. Tarryall to South? OUCH. Maybe first you should read Kevin Baker's "death march" trip report re: 28 miles and 14 summits in the Lost Creek Wilderness. ;)
EDIT: Yikes, you were one of the insane participants in the "mad dash of death". EEEK!

Southwest SlopeCrazy bushwacking. Not worth taking, I would stick to the Hankins Pass route.
