Beautiful route  Sucess!

Nice scenery, nice grade, cell phone reception. Made my ascent to friendly Gould a fun hike.

Going for the Gould  Sucess!

I took this route on 29 November 2007, 15 July 2010 and 27 July 2011. On another occasion I traversed from Dragon Peak.

Fun summit block  Sucess!

Climbed solo from the pass. A very fun summit block made it well worth the effort. Traversed over to Dragon.

In the Winter  Sucess!

Miguel Carmona and I skied up Mt. Gould in March of 1982. The next day we skied/scrambled up University Peak.

Alpine fix  Sucess!

A scenic treat while visiting from the mountain-less east coast. Thunderclouds forming persuaded me not to head north to Dragon. Tagged the top of the summit "thumb", never saw a register. Nearly 1,000' of scree skiing down to the Kearsarge Pass trail was fast and fun.

Very casual  Sucess!

Easy slog from the trail. The next section, the traverse to Dragon, was better.

S Ridge  Sucess!

Backpacking with 3 others. Side trip to solo. Hiked to the 3 false summits before reaching the correct one. Signed the register, but did not climb on the summit block.

South Ridge  Sucess!

Very windy conditions with clouds moving in. Besides the class 3/4 climbing up to summit block, this solo trip was a slog. Beautiful view toward Rae Lakes from Kearsarge Pass, worth the trip in itself.

Good Times
