Snyder Hill
Not the greatest peak but half of them have to be below average right? I may be the only person on the planet who can say he climbed Snyder Hill and Snyder Mtn in the same year. Huzzah!

Twice
I've visited the top of this thing twice, first with Ken Jones and again with Bob Bolton on 9-3-07 Here is my report for the visit with Ken:
We tackled this one from the road that starts up from the Sullivan Lake road at a point just a mile or two from the bridge outside of Ione. We had already done White Mountain and Lime Creek Mountain a bit earlier in the day and we were able to drive close to the peak to make this the third peak visited for the day. The road was in decent shape although there a lot of small berms in the road to slow you down on the second half. We were able to drive to a point where downed trees stopped us just 0.6 miles and 400 vertical feet from the summit. Once we left the road at this point, we still had some crappy conditions (it was raining on us). We passed the foundation of an old lookout on the way. The summit is found at a survey marker and is heavily forested (lame) place so we tagged it and immediately turned around (it was raining on us). We saw no register and that survey marker was the only indication that we had found the highest point. It was 9.7 miles from the pavement to where we were stopped by the trees on the road but that was adequate. After Snyder Hill, Ken and drove down and drove up North Baldy to make it four peaks in one day.
My visit with Bob was part of a visit to other peaks in the area.

Snyder Hill At Sunset
I decided to summit Snyder Hill while en route to Gypsy Peak, which I would hike the following morning. No outward views from the summit, although the former patrol tower location west of the summit area is open and has some views. I barely made it back to the truck before nightfall, or else I would have taken more time to take photos and explore.
