Excellent job on the text and photos of this page. Four summit entries-wow. The mountain really is more remote than I thought-and I've climbed it! This page is well done, and should entice those considering climbing this mountain.
Snowmass can actually be seen rather clearly, albeit from a distance, from Highway 13 when travelling south Meeker to Rifle.
Both Capitol and Snowmass can be seen clearly just after crossing Rio Blanco Hill. I sent Gerry Roach this information with a photo, but it was too late to get the information in the guidebook.
The thin ridge leading to Capital Peak is very impressive.
As a minor correction, this should be Capitol Peak, rather than Capital Peak. The mountain was actually named for the Capitol Building in Washington DC.
