Fist time...  Sucess!

Just finished Mazama BCEP. This was really the first time climbing real rock away from "the class". I did five routes with Brian Jenkins leading the way. "On the job experience" is definitely the best way to learn this activity. I'm anxious to do more...

Route Climbed: several on Adit Rock Date Climbed: 2001? 2002?  Sucess!

My first lead ever was called something like Lollipop League there? (very tough sounding, eh?) Did some others nearby in the 9 range I think.

I do remember there being a large group of organized climbers there from Bend led by SP member, Robert Speik. He was telling them that the only place at Smith he had ever seen a rattlesnake was there at the base of Adit Rock. (something for climbers to think about when there, eh?)

5/7/06 - Climbed with Karl Helser. Led 5 easy trad routes to the top of Bette's Needles, Flat Top, Staender Summit, The Mole and Independence Tower. Great day and a lot of fun.

3/15/14 - More at Adit Rock, summitted Bette's Needle again.
