I met a Colorado hiker while hiking to a summit in the Great Smokies. He had climbed most of the 14ers and I asked him which one was his favorite. Without pause he stated that Mount of the Holy Cross was at the top of his list. Just his all-around favorite hiking/backpacking area in general.
My 1st time was a giant wallow through deep snow. The 2nd, a blur. Still, I did take the time to recognize that this is a beautiful mountain and wilderness area. Cheers!
