Parked on the highway, made a bee line to the top. Snow on route almost entirely. A beautiful part of the world. Outstanding view from the top.

Just beat the rain
Part of my Oregon volcano alley road trip. While staying in Bend, I decided to go and check the place out. When I got there, it wasn't raining so I made a run for it. Timing was perfect. I started at 12 noon from the Red Chair area, summited by 1:40PM and was back at my car by 2:15PM. Soon thereafter (i.e. only 10 min later), it started raining heavily. Pacific northwet weather....I mean, northwest.
