The climb was nowhere near clean for me....it was HARD (much harder than that other route we did of the same grade there)....thin hands...just could not get secure jams. Feel like we want to go back there next year to try to do it again (cleaner)...

Just curious, did you go out and buy all those extra .75 and #1s for this route, or do you have a 5X rack already? Sounds heavy!

Yeah pretty much did buy extra .75's and 1's (had triples of 1's before and 4 X .75's). No don't have a X5 rack quite yet ;)

...figured we'll be using all these redundant pieces at Indian Creek hopefully later in the fall (hmmmm, need more yellows and blues for that matter :)

Where you heading this weekend? Though we don't have class this weekend, we're supposed to help out our friend with a rock session for the mazamas so have only 1 day free.....Need to live vicariously thru. other climbers for the next month :)

Sergio Verdina, Eric Hoffman, his friend Andy, and I are going to attempt the Northwest Face Ice Couloir on Eldorado Peak. Can't wait! Hopefully, the weather will hold.

Yeah, I can't believe that Pat died! There's a memorial service in Hillsboro today (since most of his friends could not make it to the funeral in PA).

It really is tragic that someone that young had to die. A mountaineering death had never hit so close to home for us before.
