Silky Phacelia

Silky Phacelia (Phacelia sericea) on the summit of Crater Mountain (8128 feet). These flowers are known to grow in rocky places at high elevations and can cause a skin irritation similar to that of poison ivy in people with sensitive skin. That's the Jerry Glacier seen far below. Photographed August 15, 2010.
