Woody GapWhen I was in high school, we used to play Woody Gap School in basketball. That was the only sport the school could field a team for. It was, at the time, the smallest school in Georgia. They had a senior class of a total of eight my senior year (our school, which is considered small, had 108 seniors graduating). I remember that their gym leaked like a sieve and when we played them once during a rain storm the referees kept having to call time to mop the court and towel it down. The Wood Gap School was grades first through twelfth. Not sure if it still exists.

Re: Woody GapBob,
I love your "historical perspective" and I'm in no way being scarcastic. This is great to hear some of the background about this area.
We'll be back - to pick up on the AT where we left off. Also, my sister-in-law has a cabin nearby in Blairsville - maybe we'll need to pay a visit. :)
