Shingle Peak was an important climb for us as it was the 166th peak in Nevada that had over 2000 feet of prominence for Dennis and the 152nd one for me. A fairly rugged hike of over 3400 feet and about 7 miles roundtrip through terrain that had no trail and required constant routefinding. Only two others had proceeded us to the summit in over 11 years so it was a nice one to get.
