Sweet!I agree with your comments about route quality. I never climbed Backbone, so I'm willing to concede it may be a better route, but Serpentine deserves it's fame...it's an awesome climb! And loose pitches at the top are just part of the mountain experience.
Did looking across at Colchuck NE Buttress get you curious about that route?

NiceGreat article, nice use of the videos too. I think those of us who are used to NW climbing just learn to accept that most of our routes won't be on Yosemite granite, but that's just part of the fun!
