Schneck, one of the trademark mountains of the Allgäu Alps. To the right you see the Hmmelhorn summit wth its west ridge, Rädlergrat, one of the most notorious ridge climbs of the range. To the left the two summits, separated by 9m of elevation and a kife-edge saddle which has turned down many a summit aspirant. Beneath the sumit formation, the large snow-fields cover a steep grass slope, throug whih the famous ledge traverses of "Hohe Gänge" leads.
Schneck, together with neighbouring Höfats is one of the most typical grass mountains of the Allgäu Alps, gras at slopes of up o 80°!.
