Next year, knowing the course, you'll nail sub 1hr. 30 minutes. You might think about driving in in the morning instead of over-nighting. I get there around 7 am and that gives you plenty of time to pick up your packet, use the toilet, etc.
yes I think I could get 1h25 if i do some trail runs beforehand. it's definitely reasonable to just head up there that morning (since that's what most people do), but I'm guessing being there overnight must have helped limit the AMS at least a little.
