KEY
Yellow Line: the east ridge (Class 2).
Blue: my route from the lake.
1: the false summit to which all routes on this part of the mountain lead.
2: the sandy-colored gully/scree slope (Class 2) leading to the east ridge.
3: a rocky area offering Class 4 climbing that gets quite exposed despite the relatively short (about 150-200') climbing section.
4: the notch at 12,838'
5: the "notch gully," a steep, often-loose scree slope leading directly to the notch. I used this as my descent route. The rock bands to the right have Class 3 routes through them, but reaching them could be tedious.
6: the lake at 12,200' from which these routes can be accessed.
