Route to Mera La

This is a good overview of the final leg of the Mera approach: Khare Camp to Mera La (Mera Base Camp). Khare Camp is just outside the left boarder of the picture. Route leads over scree to the begin of the glacier, ascends the plateau, then crosses the whole plateau under the rocks until reaching Mera La (5415m). Base camp is 70m below Mera La, to the east (Hongu side). October 2006.
