Re: wowThank you. Yes, the colour of the Estérel rocks is quite unique, and combined with the truly azure Mediterranean (which is just a bit further to the left) it is even more beautiful!

Red rocks in the Alps?I love it. I can remove my sunglasses. There's a place in Arizona called Sedona. Very beautiful red rocks everywhere. Attracts many people TO the resorts, especially for the Christmas light festival. Are you people getting any SNOW there, yet? Thanks & PEACE!

Re: Red rocks in the Alps?No, this is not in the Alps, although they are not far away. The Massif de L'Esterel is about 4 times as old as the Alps (around 300 million years), this is why they are not very high, max. 618 m/2050 ft. Snow where we live would be highly unusual, but generally the southernmost Alps, that we can see, have snow above 1300 m/4300 ft. in winter, not yet, though.
