Nice, You two must be the names I remember seeing in the Peak E summit register. I traversed this ridge the day after you! Ran into the goats from Cprime to D...Must say this has been one of my finest traverses yet
Great job in getting up there, dude! Ripsaw is one of those 'mysterious' traverses that people might talk about but never really seem interested in making it happen.
I'm glad things have been getting better for you in terms of mountaineering and challenging yourself on terrain like that.
Great report (a little hard to follow at times) and equally great wording.
Nice opening quote by the way! Two front page reports in a row!
You and Kim seem like really awesome climbing mates!
Thanks, my friend. Too bad this one didn't work out with your schedule. You know these things we do are as much a spiritual journey as a physical one. I learn a little more about my self and a little less about life with every step...this is the tao of mountaineering.
Nice work, Pete-- both on the route and the write-up. Definitely an intense read. Kudos for keeping it together on the ridge. No death falls, no compound fractures, means success in my book.
Funny, this reminds me of doing the Grand Traverse in the Gores with Kim last year (aka the Dropped Backpack Route). That probably wasn't as gnarly but it did turn into an 18 hour day...

Been plannin'...That was quite a war story, thanks for sharing!
I've been planning this one forever. I wanna do it the next time I come to Colorado.
My last trip to the Gores was here: http://www.gorerange.info/2010/09/

Re: Let the wounds healThanks, Brian. You're right about the million bucks, though at the time I was not in the mood. Good job on getting through the whole ridge.
