What doesn't look like much from the outside is beautiful inside!  Sucess!

This is a short easy hike to the inside of a volcanic mountain. Really pretty and worth seeing.

East Rdige  Sucess!

I left the trail early and took a more direct line up the south-east ridge to the summit. The views into the hoodoos were great but the summit itself a dud. I didn't find any summit register.

Nice Scramble  Sucess!

Tried going with my 2 dogs thru amphitheater but that was a no go. Eventually made it to the summit by climbing the northwest ridge and scrambling thru the forest to the summit. Signed the summit register and headed down.

Pleasant August afternoon  Sucess!

Went up east ridges to the top, bypassing some fascinating hoodoos. Minor route-finding, but nothing too nasty. Loved it! trip report

Snowshoed it with the GF  Sucess!

Had to break trail from Fort Valley Road. We lost the trail shortly after reached the real trailhead. It is pretty easy to find the amphitheater without the trail though. We then went up the center ridge to the summit and then went down the north ridge. We were socked in most of the time. Still had a great time!
