Road was closed from campground so had to walk from there, first peak on the loop.

Partial Loop
Did Rabbit, Granite and Round Top on a very hot day. Very nice loop but with direct sun on the entire route I ran low on water and decided to leave Iron # 3 for another day.
Monte Cristo Peak, Iron #3, Round Top, Granite, Rabbit. The loop is probably easier this way than the opposite direction.

From Granite
A loop hike including Iron # 3, Roundtop, Pacifico, Granite # 1, & Rabbit # 1. A little breeze helped to keep the temperature down a little. While the area is very dry and barren, the views are far-reaching.
Very out of shape but convinced by my friend to do it. Nice long drive enroute. Plan on taking aerial photos soon with Theron_moon!!

Loop Hike
Nice day with a crisp breeze -- solo with Coco, my dog. Hardest part of the hike was actually Rabbit as I waited to find a place to climb off the road that Coco could do. Picked the west slope with the thickest brush I've ever been through (including George Creek) -- cost us about 25 minutes of bushwacking time. The rest of the hike was reasonable.

Long day
As Bob says. Who knew you could get such a workout from the HPS List? Very enjoyable evening hike, even with the ugly bushwhacking encountered when we lost the trail on the way from Granite.

Part of Loop Hike
This was the first peak in our loop. Next was Granite #1, Round Top Mtn. and finally Iron Mtn.#3. About 11 miles with 4,000 feet of gain so a good workout especially if you go a brisk pace.

Last of 13 peaks that Matthew and I climbed in the area that day. A beautiful moonlit night made it quite enjoyable into the late hours. Trip Report

Drive upWell, almost a drive up. Takes about 40 minutes RT from the road.
The road from Mill Creek Summit is in really bad shape 11/08 in some spots. 4WD HC really recommended.
