Great day out
climbed from Embalse de Cavallers via normal route and down in a single day. Fantastic clear day with superb views from the summit. Still lots of snow on the steep upper slopes (axe and crampons required) despite being early July. The bridge across the river above the reservoir has been washed away, and with the river in spate swollen by melt-water from the hills above the crossing was treacherous.

A hard day
Amazing snowfall on August! it was a very hard day with snowfall and cold wind. We climbed across Barranco de comalesbienes with snow from the lakes to the summit without views of the path under the snow. It was dangerous the climb of the last meters of rocky ridge with fresh snow. We descended across the col North (collado arenós) to refuge Ventosa i Calvell appearing the sun in the marvelous lakes of Estany de la roca, Estanys de Colieto and Estany Negre with a reward for our hard day.
Great peak.
Three friends and me enjoyed a nice climb from Estany Negre, where we had pitched the tents. A pair of friends had decided to descend to the camp before reaching the summit and another one was waiting us on the camp the whole day. I don't remember many details but I took some pics that I'll post soon. Well, we saw some marmots on the trail. The weather was very good and we enjoyed the gret views from the top.

A failure
It was a long time ago, nowadays I might have got to the summit, but in that moment I got lost from the main group and decided to withdraw from the Estanys de Comalesbienes (on the south side of Punta Alta)

Sprig ascend
Climbed with two friends from Ref. Ventosa i Calvell in 5 hours. Beautiful day without wind. We stayed one hour on the top. There were perfect snow conditions, specially early in the morning and on the higher part of the mountain. During the way back we were sinking in deep snow, specially at the lower slopes near the lakes. We did not use skies or snowshoes. I did not use crampons neither.
