Quick hike from Blue Jacket saddle. Couldn’t stay long and minimal views due to rain. Trip Report

Great area
Dennis Poulin and I hoofed it from the saddle near Blue Jacket Peak and followed rayray's route. Found the register and benchmarks on the broad summit area and enjoyed the views before making the trek back to the truck. We had climbed McAfee Peak in the morning and this finished up our day. We camped at the Jack Creek campground and we were the only ones there. That'll change I bet come hunting season. Neat area around Porter Peak. Will need to go back and get Wilson Peak just to the south of it.

Definitely something way out of the way and different, but really fun- a beautiful day with great company.

Great peak in a beautiful areaHiked the 4WD road from Blue Jacket Peak. Nice hike capped with great views.
