Re: Congratulation!

Thanks! Yes, it was definitely one of these few "perfect" days you can have during a season... And the view is outstanding - so many 4.000 m peaks - from Gran Paradiso, Mt. Blanc, Grand Combin, Dt. Herens, Matterhorn to Dom, Weisshorn, Nordend, Dufourspitze and so on and so on... ;)

Regards,
Herbert

Re: Congratulation!

How about the conditions on the route?

Re: Congratulation!

The conditions on the normal route were good. We had some fresh fallen snow from 2 days ago, which was nice for the snow ridge. We climbed the rock ridge with crampons - but because of the sunny day before, there was nearly no snow or ice on the rock ridge. Originally we planned a traverse, but there was too much loose snow - so we climbed the same route down.
