"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Great Cleft RouteAttempted Pollock after summiting Piegan 6 days earlier. The route wasn't easy to find. Fortunately, on my 2nd try I came across a couple of climbers who knew the route.

Route Climbed: Great Cleft Date Climbed: August 2, 2005Summited Mount Piegan, returned to pass and attempted Pollock, but failed. Couldn't find the stupid route and vow to return and vanquish the dastardly Great Cleft, mark my words!

Route Climbed: Great Cleft Date Climbed: 9/1/2004Interesting route finding excursion! Fun chimney to climb through - definitely takes some flexible muscles and limbs! Helps if you have a small backpack so you don't get hung up.
Climbed with Fred , Moni and Vern. Fred - thanks for the great route finding! Couldn't have done it without you!

Route Climbed: Great Cleft Date Climbed: September 1, 2004Climbed with Moni & Fred Spicker, and Ellen Ritt. The "Cleft" through the cliffs is fun, and well worth it; summit views are GNP-terrific! Huddled just off the summit through a short thunderstorm--minimum rain (fortunately), but not so minimum lightning not so far away (actually, it was all too close)! Continued on to Bishops Cap, and more glory.
All this, on my birthday--The first of two GNP summits in one day: WHADDA PRESENT!
