Unfortunately you can't see everest from the summit because there is another huge mountain in the way. However one day's walk up the Khumbu Valley and you get to a place called Gorak Shep where there is a lodge to stay in (if you can cope with the altitude) and you can see everest from there. You can also get a great view of everest from a place further West called Gokyo Ri. I went there for a couple of days to acclimatise for my climb of Imja Tse/ Island Peak.
Could be flushed out a bit more but otherwise a good page. Feel free to grab some getting there information from either my Goyko or Everest page. Cheers William
Thanks for the tip - I have done that now. You have increased my knowledge of HTML by 100%. Do you know where I can find a web that lists all the useful things like that?
Here's a beginners course on www.webmonkey.com. I learned most of my html stuff from this site, but just searching a bit in google is often very useful too.
