Description

I am here in Salt lake City until March 10, 2009 as Visiting Researcher of the University of Utah. I am from Russia. In Russia, I run Alp for All Club (www.alp4all.com). Our club invites everybody to participate in Mt.Elbrus 2009 expedition. West top of Mt. Elbrus is 5642m (18,500ft). It is the highest point of Europe, one of the Seven Summits.
Mt.Elbrus is accessible for beginners. They receive all necessary skills during preparation. Experienced climbers can try to climb the both summits (West and East) and also try to do traverse.

Itinerary.
You should arrive to Mineralnye Vody (MRV) airport in Russia at the 5th of July.
July 6-8 - 1st acclimatisation, backpacking to Siltran lake 10,000ft (very spectacular place, good for adaptaion to difference in time). Back to hotel.
July 9-10 - 2nd acclimatisation. Reaching 14,000 ft camp with cable road and snow car (ratrack), night in tents. Ice training. Back to hotel.
July 11 - day of a rest.
July 12 - Reaching to 14,000 with cable road and ratrack. Night in tents.
July 13 - early morning (3am) start, summit 11am-1pm, back to 14,000ft camp, night in tents
July 14 - back to hotel.
July 15 - trip to hot spa (hot mineral bath).
July 16 - reserve day.
July 17 - departure.

Price is 770 USD including all permits and official fees, local transportations, hotel, cable road, ratrak, hot spa, guiding.
